Convergence and multifunctionality were the buzzwords during the recently concluded China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components, held from October 12 to 15 at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong. The telecom products pavilion was abuzz with GPS products integrating value added in the form of navigation, tracking and data logging capabilities. The technology has also clearly penetrated in-car electronics, and this is evident in the slew of in-car electronics that combine GPS navigation and tracking functionality. Buyers were also treated to new mobile phones equipped with mobile TV functions, WLAN equipment, two-way radios and VoIP products supporting wireless capability.
